Pakistan held a no-confidence parliamentary vote, which Imran Khan lost.

Imran Khan has been removed from his post as Pakistan's Prime Minister. This occurred after Khan's coalition government broke apart. A coalition government is a government formed as an alliance of multiple parties. Parties are the various groups that stand in an electoral process with a representative running for a position.
Khan's government was built on an alliance like those explained above. However, due to Khan's successive failures and leadership/political issues, the previously allied parties wished to change the governmental hierarchy.
Out of 342, 174 members voted in favour of the no-confidence motion, resulting in a majority support against Mr. Khan. This change in power is not sudden - Khan had been successively losing a lot of the military support he had when he had initially formed his government.
Khan has accused the United States of meddling with Pakistan's internal politics and being the perpetrator behind this no-confidence vote. The States have denied all accusations. However, Khan has urged his supporters to protest against the passed motion.
Nonetheless, the deed is done. No matter what protests or what accusations. It is impossible to revoke a no-confidence motion of this magnitude. Soon the Pakistani parliament will appoint a replacement for Mr. Khan, time will tell how their tenure plays out.
