Uber buying Postmates for $2.65 Billion

Uber has acquired food delivery start-up post mates.

Postmates is a delivery start-up which was launched in 2011. It is active in over 4,2000 US cities and is servicing for 600,000 restaurants, the company was acquiring 8% of the entire food delivery sales in US.

This acquisition for Uber is beneficiary as the ride sharing services' sales dips. And has home delivery demand booms, it is able to access more remote areas, and due to the open nature of delivery that postmates uses, it has certain edges in terms of social opinions. It has become preferable to have open delivery services such as motorbikes, and bicycles, thus the acquisition of post-mates provides Uber Eats with a new form of delivery and gives the consumers a new degree to their sense of safety.
