The Delhi Government is working towards moving all Learner License procedures online.

Delhi Government is in the final stages to begin their process of issuing learner licenses online. They are looking to launch a software/panel which will allow all required documents to be uploaded electronically and verified through governmental databases. The panel will also use a facial recognition software to validate the applicant and be equipped with surveillance technology to ensure security/honesty during the online Learner-License test.

The plan was proposed due to the rising traffic in the local RTOs (Regional Transport Office) during the pandemic and less staff. The government is looking to start off this programme by the end of August. However, the pace at which the project has been moving suggests that it might be operational by the end of July.

Overall, this project will smoothen the start of your driving journey. It is just (like everything) a matter of time.
